an update and the perils of being a florist

well, sorry about that long white silence which was my lj for a very long time. I've been busy, but reading to keep up with the friends whom I mostly socialize with through this medium.

So I am no longer temping: I'm a florist. Yeah... The job has its good moments, but a more acurate description whould be slave to the flowers and verbal punching bag for abusive customers. Thursday was an expecially good example of this, filled with Dante (Clerks) moments, "I'm not even supposted to be here!" because I had to work late. grrr..

and I have to work today. being saturday. the plus side is that while the pay is less than temping, the hours are all the time, so that I do not have a random week that I do not make any money. which is why I had to stop temping.

speaking of work, I have to do that now. sigh. more later.

"Slave to the flowers" would be an awesome band name. It would have lots of Alice in Wonderland centered music videos, and maybe one based around Van Gogh's Irises. The videos would be all about the sinister side of flowers, and how they bring out our frustration and rage.
