what I want to do with my life

So I have decided that it is time for the "what I want to do with my life" brain storming. A little late, perhaps, after graduating with a degree in British and America literature, but hey, my dad says he wants to grow up to be Bobby Hicks (a folk singer, and scathing conversationlist who pulls no punches,) at 65. So I figure I can decide now if I want to.


things I want to be able to do in my life, AKA "the life list":

be a part of the captalist commune
run a private library, or public collection of Science fiction and fantasy books
travel to europe
be a reclusive poet/ artist in the woods.
grow my own food in a garden
live in the same city as Rachel and Miles (portland at the moment)
develop my skills as a jewelry maker and artist (lampworking, collage, polymer, bead weaving, metal working)
keep fenceing. Own a sword. Get good enough with a sword that I can skewer burglars if nessary.
Improve my body and health so that I may be as fuctional as possible for as long as possible.
aquire and refine survial skills, including gun safety, first aid, ect. Incase of natural
(or other) disaster I want to be able to keep myself and loved ones and happy and healthy as possible.
let love grow and give it all the time and energy it needs to do so.
Do lots of coustuming.
Theater.
publish poems.
Let go of excess material items.
go to the rain forest.
find a nice boulder and make friends with it.(I suspect rocks have many things to teach me, and hence my attraction)
Discover new friends and cherish the old ones.
Learn to live with aging and death.

Now... this list is subject to modification at any point.

Now the list of things I need.
steady income in some form.
health insurance.
a place to live.

Now how can we get these two lists to reconcile? my idea of library sciences is not a bad one, but...

ideas?
