An update on the Dad thing
So thank you, everyone who sent me nice thoughts after my post last week on my father. Update: Tuesday my father called five times to apologize. How that broke down:
Melanie (step-mother) calls, and offeres to treat for lunch. I agree, and say I will see her in a bit.
15 minutes later Dad calls, and says that Melanie just left, and (basically) sorry he was an ass yesterday, but here is why he was still right. ok.
Lunch with Melanie: very nice.
1:00 pm. Dad calls, and says I should do what ever I need to do, and web classes are probably be better than nothing. But I should be doing it full time.
1:30 pm. Dad calls. Says he can't help with tutition or anything right now: finances are very tight.
I say it is ok.
2:00 pm. Dad calls, asserts that I can do 3 classes at USF with less effort than my NCF first year. I agree that this is most likly so, but that I could not have worked (almost) full time my first year, and I do not want to take out loans. He then askes if I need money.
3:00 pm Dad calls. "Do you need any money?"
"Nope!" say I.
that's it so far...
He is coming down this week: we shall see how it goes.

i'm glad you got to come yesterday! sorry if things were a bit odd - the politiking of bellydance is bizarre, and the one girl (on the couch next to dierdre) was right smack in the middle of it (this may sound ridiculous but we're pretty sure she was sent as a sort of "spy" - yes! bellydance espionage! - to check things out and then report back to dancer X hee hee hee). i'm SO glad you came - i've missed you. we NEED to chill and do crafts more often.
and, yes, got yer beads - call me at 587-3361 (after 5 pm please) and we'll figure something out. i'm thinking i might be able to drop them off for you. dinner sounds divine, but i'm working tues/wed/thurs night this week :(

Also, I'm mildly frightened and strangely excited about what you and Misha may come up with as crafts projects.
