Online Class and other oxymorons

I have decided that this online class thing is really pretty silly. it is much easier to fall behind in the reading and work, because you don't have the awareness for class twice a week to focus your thoughts on it. ( Davin, how is your class treating you?)My text book finally came in, and I have been reading like a crazy person trying to catch up on three weeks of reading. So far all the assignments have gone in on time, although the online submission thing makes me very neverous, and I'm not certain that the first assignment was actually submitted, because I hadn't figured out the system all the way yet. I hope it was.

I would perfer not to do an online class ever again if I can manage it, but i will make this one work. I'm trying to figure out if I can do another class as well, or even three and be done even faster but I';m having trouble with the online catalouge, and can't really figure out what I'm going to be taking next semester. Sigh. And I need to do the Grad. School app. for my subject area (I'm non-degree seeking at the moment.) and the GRE. Blah.

I totally agree. Online classes suck unless you're a very disciplined student. My online class doesnt start until July 2nd, but I looked at the sullabus and decided to start the readings now, because the amount of reading and films assigned per week is rediculous. I think my professor thinks that the fact that we don't have three and a half hours of class a week automatically means we have a lot more time on our hands.

Some of the films are also hard to find. Supposedly they're at the library, but...

I've taken online classes in the past and failed them, because I would be in charge of my own schedule and therefore choose to put the readings off. And I also swore I'd never take another online class, but there are a couple of classes that I want to take that are only available online. Hense my current situation.
