becasue I can...
Here is my version of Bryce's LJ post as a poem (with his permission)
Today is such a fine day as never been recorded in the annals of men.
(Found poetry from an online journal, posted into emptiness, of Bryce Healy)
Such is the tone,
what with the dreary gray of the sky corresponding perfectly with that of the asphalt
of the industrial jungle in whose midst I find myself
(from time to time again),
& the light rain falling
from time to time (again).
I find myself much quieted by the course of the day.
It's one of those occasions where
I find that, much like Dr Raoul Duke on a particularly mean & vicious day
from which there is nothing doing but waiting it out, observing time pass,
I would like to do much of the same, if in a much different spirit;
sit, drink tea, smoke a pack or two of cigarettes and
burn incense by the boxful while the daylight burns for other time zones across the horizon.
And me, here, wondering what it all meant;
or not, in all probability.
And my new LJ icon, made from a picture by Rew.
