The New Labor Day plans
Aug. 29th, 2006 12:38 pmO.k., all you folks. Since Chris was forced to call off his Labor day plans, James and I would like to offer everyone the hospitaity of our house on monday afternoon. There will be water guns, and good food, (pot luck, if people feel inclined to contribute), and good music, and my spiffy porch swing. And good booze.
So if you wouold like to come, give me a "holla" on LJ.

Oh my God!
Date: 2006-08-30 12:50 pm (UTC)so for the record, I am very leery of the whole "Take-an-outline-of-a-dead-author-and-finish-it" genre. And this is expecailly true of Heinlien. Who is a god. and I maintian that if he wanted something published it would have been published, (with the exception of Tramp Royale, which is the marvelous travel novel that no-one would buy.) So the "Lost first novel" by heinlien was a gift, and it sits on my shelf, unread. Maybe this will change... or maybe not.
But this is Spiter Robinson, the writer who most closely resembles Heinlein in modern speculative fiction. And is an amazing writer all on his own.
So i don't know wheither to leap up and down with joy, or limp off into the woods to cry. But I might actually read it...
